Experience Fun: Dance Outreach in Schools

Ballroom Dance Experience has been working in conjunction with Education Outreach founder Ron Clark who developed the Dance Club program over 40 years ago.  Throughout Columbus, schools have worked with us to develop dance programs that introduce grade school children into adulthood social skills, respect, confidence, courtesy, and appropriate group behavior. While students learn how to interact appropriately with their peers and adults, they also learn how to fast dance and slow dance to modern, popular music. Instructors also teach line dances found at social functions such as weddings or dinner parties.

Dance Club has been introduced and has grown in Worthington Schools, Dublin, Upper Arlington, Columbus School for Girls, Wellington, Grandview, and Archdiocesan Schools.

While each program length is different, the Dance Club program often culminates in a social and dinner function where students show their parents and loved ones the skills they have learned. Many of the parents have been through the classes themselves, and are happy to spend this quality time with their children.
